A bachelor of education student who preferred anonymity told www.mknewslink.com reporter that they are uncertain of the next step since their academic schedule was supposed to kick off as early as 15th.Feb.2021 but since then lecturers have refused coming to teach them.
“Universities were of recent reopened for finalists, we have already banked all the university dues but our lecturers have decided to ignore us,” the female student noted.
On 10th.Feb.2021, the Academic staff in public Universities under their umbrella Organisation, Forum for Academic Staff in Public Universities (FAPSU) laid down their tools demanding for their salary enhancement from their government totaling to 129.24bn Ugshs.
Efforts to engage in the University’s public Relations Officer Angela Nakato were futile since she refused to pick our numerous calls.
