Sheema district leaders have been accused of segregation among sub counties especially in service delivery.
The accusation was raised by the Rugarama Sub county boss Mr Venancio Ndyanabo Tumugabirwe during the Commissioning of a water project at Kababaizi primary school and St Mary’s high school Kababaizi on Saturday 23rd March 2019
Venancio said that when it comes to sharing district projects from Sheema district offices, it is a tag of war for Rugarama to benefit warning that if it continues like this, it will make it difficult for them to develop like other sub counties.
However Councillor for Rugarama Sub County Kamugisha Fred said that even if some of the district officers segregate them, they will still develop themselves.
He noted that they will put up their own structure even if they do not get any help from the government citing St Mary’s high school Kababaizi a government aided school which has 10 building blocks all that have come from the efforts of the parents.
RDC Sheema district Frank Kyereere noted that he had taken Rugarama’s complaints and promised to consult Chairman LC V Sheema district David Kabigumira to confirm whether the mentioned issues are true or just allegations.
He however blamed Rugarama leaders for failing to do what they are supposed to do giving an example of Rugarama sub county Chief Jordan Amanya whom he said is not only a visitor at the sub county but also an image since he has totally failed to do his job.
He vowed that if he happens to get to Amanya ,they shall face each other like men and he gets an explanation as to why Amanya doesn’t want to work or resign as early as possible instead of shading a bad image to the government..
When www.mknewslink.com talked to chairman LCV Sheema district David Kabigumira about the matter, he confessed that he has never seen any Rugarama leader coming into his office asking for service delivery or complaining about poor services.
On the other hand, angry residents of Sheema were not happy with Prof. Kamuntu’s claim that he brought them water while they paid for the service whole handedly without anyone’s help.
