SON KIILS MOTHER OVER LAND IN MITOOMA DISTRICT.

Police in Mitooma district are hunting a 23 year old man strangled his mother to death on 12th dec 2022 few hours after returning from prison.

The suspect is Naboth Ahumuza known as lucky and the deceased is identified as Evas Batabarukire 59 both residents of Runazi 1, Bikungu Mutara Towncouncil.

Ahumuza the biological son now the deceased has been in prison on cases of malicious damage and dismantle of boundaries of his mother’s land. It is noted that after reaching home, he again developed quarrels and cut the old woman on the neck killing her instantly and ran away.

Meanwhile, the case was reported to Mutara police station by Wilson kambereho, the lc1 chairman Runazi 1 Bikungu ward.

The greater Bushenyi police spokesperson Martial Tumusiime has comfirmed the incident. the body was taken to kitagata hospital mortuary for postermoterm as inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
