“STOP SELLING LAND FOR UNIVERSITY EDUCATION RATHER VOCATIONAL SKILLS”

Over 100 students have afternoon of Saturday 24, Feb, 2018 graduated with diplomas and certificates in different disciplines at Institute for Professional Management (IPM) at St.Kagwa hill in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality.
While presiding over the fifth graduation, Jafari Basajjabalaba; the LCV chairman Bushenyi district advised the graduands to manifest discipline wherever they go if they are to be good ambassadors.
He warned them to avoid being money oriented while seeking jobs if they are to be good servants in the world.
The institute director; Franklin Muteebwa expressed gratitude towards improvement of the institution. He disclosed that the institute that started in 1999 in rented structures now has managed to secure it’s own land and structures.
Muteebwa encouraged parents to embrace vocational education instead of sending their children to Universities where they spend a lot of money and finally the children fail to get jobs.
He revealed that the institute has so far obtained it’s own UBTEB examination centre number and students no longer move to other Institutions to sit for their exams.
Vice chair man board of directors; Mawanda Magezi who is also director Paramount SS Kigoma said the country is stronger because of education because a number of people who passed through IPM are important citizens.
