SUSPECTED MURDERERS OF MBARARA SPECIAL HIRE DRIVER COMMITTED TO HIGH COURT

Grade one magistrate’s court in Mbarara presided over by her worship Doreen Ainembabazi has today committed to high court and re-remanded two prime suspects in the murder of Mbarara special hire driver.
Prosecution alleges that on the 6th.day of April, 2021 while at Buremba stage in Mbarara city corporal Sonko Patrick alias Mugenyi Assoka 45 years together with Lutasingwa Simon 35 years hired the late James Ahimbisibwe to drive them to unknown destination.
It adds that the duo later murdered him at Rwakiruli along Isingiro -Mbarara road contrary to article 188 and 189 of the penal code Act before robbing him of his car Toyota wish registration number UBF 684M valued at 28 million shs which also contravenes Article 286 and 285 of the penal code Act.
Her worship Ainembabazi Doreen noted that charges against the two suspects can only be heard in high court due to their capital nature thus remanding them until 6th.July.2021 adding that they are free to apply for bail in the same court
According to Kyogoza Rossetti an in law to the deceased, his family reported the matter to Mbarara Central police station after waiting for him to return in vain.
On Apirl, 7th.2021 the body of the deceased was found at Kasomo zone -Kasaana Luweero district and buried at Kasaana hospital cemetery after locals failed to identify the body ,according to CID spokesperson Charles Twiine .
The deceased’s relatives later learnt about the matter and sought for a court order from Mbarara and the body of the deceased was later exhumed by flying squad of police and handed to the relatives for a decent burial in Ruti Mbarara city.
