Thousands of people from all over the country yesterday gathered at St Peter’s cathedral Bweranyanyi for the requiem mass of a senior lawyer counsel Tumwesigye Charlie.
In her speech Stella Asiimwe the wife to the deceased thanked her husband for being a principled and a determined person.
She has put the record straight saying that her husband has succumbed to motor neuron disease which caused him slurred speech. For the last four months, he has been surviving on water only.
Bishop of west Ankole diocese Rt Rev Johnson Twinomujuni while preaching urged young men to be resilient and principled if they are to live meaningful life like that of Charlie Tumwesigye.
Charlie Married Stella Asiimwe in 2007 and they have been married for eleven years. He has left a widow and six children and two of them are twins.
He will be laid to rest today at his ancestral home in Kiruhura district.
