Kabarole district residents have questioned president Museveni’s appointments of five ministers from the region whom they think are not fit for the positions given to them.
In the last five years president Museveni had given Toro region only three ministerial posts which he increased in his 6th term to five and community does not think these positions are meant to develop the region but rather favour individual families.
President Museveni appointed William Byaruhanga as the attorney general, Tom Butime minister of local government, Adolf Mwesige minister of Defense and Veteran , Frank Tumwebaze minister information ,ICT and communications and Peace Mutuzo as gender and culture state minister .
BusingeNyakahuma a resident of Magulu in Fort portal said the appointed minister in Toro region will not help local people fight poverty in their homes but rather cater for their own families.
“The political leaders in Uganda now are there to fill their stomachs other than working for the people….’’ Businge noted
Mr. Maurice Kaija said in the last term President Musevein appointed only three ministers in Toro region and they failed to deliver services to their people but he was surprised when he chose five from the region this time which he says, the president made a mistake since previous ministers in the region failed to deliver.
