Tycoon Hassan Basajabalaba has overwhelmingly won Bushenyi district NRM party chairperson seat with 580 votes whereas his 3 competitors; Kamusiime Richard 11 votes, Nagasha Johnson 1 vote and Casbert Kasiano 3 votes
The position of vice chairperson was taken by Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha defeating other two candidates; Ms Farida Mutambara and Mr. Polly Nkwasibwe Katate
The general secretary is Businessman Mr.Emmanuel Muhebwa from Igara West in Bushenyi district.
Hon. Micheal Mawanda Maranga is the treasurer general whereas Taremwa Olden Aka Uganda is the publicity secretary.
Still, Barekye Alkangiro the district NRM registrar declared Amb. Enoch Nkuruho as chairperson of elders’ league. Other leagues were also elected; women, workers, veterans, youths and PWD.

He hailed voters for voting him in again and giving him competent leaders to work with to steer work for the party a head.
He also revealed that he had reconciled with Hon. Annet Mugisha and her husband Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha. He added that they resolved to work together and develop Bushenyi district further.
On the other hand, in the brief speech of Hon. Annet Mugisha hailed Tycoon Basajabalaba for accepting to work with her and her team.
