The Uganda Peoples Defense Force (UPDF) under the school of military intelligence has passed out 76 graduates of 19/16 into the intelligence force.
The four month training course on skilling and intelligence practice started on 1st June 2016 with a total of 76 graduards and these were 72 males and 4 females.
The purpose of the training is to equip trainees with basic knowledge and skills in intelligence to solve different problems and other tactical military operations while carrying out their duties.
The chief of military intelligence brigadier Charles Bakahumura as the guest speaker at the function held at Muhooti Army Military Barracks yesterday said the training was not an isolated incident but an undertaking by UPDF to transform and professionalize the force.
He told graduates that serving in the military intelligence is a noble cause which requires discipline that needs them to work as ears and eyes of UPDF institution.
They have also been appealed to endeavor to avoid living a reckless life of taking alcohol, promiscuity and accumulating wealth through unscrupulous means and spend their free time reading important literature such as constitution, Bible among others.
