A Uganda People’s Defence Forces Officer I identified as Major Erasmus
Tinkamalire was yesterday night shot dead.
Major Tinkamalire was shot dead by a prison warder who was guarding at
the RDC’s office block.
Major Mugisa Peter the Public Relations Officer Masindi Artillery
Division speaking at the scene identified the prison warder as Almadri
Major Mugisa added that Major Tinkamalire has been working as a zonal
pension’s officer an office which is housed at the RDC’s office.
Major Mugisa also explained that the incident happened at around 10:30
pm on Thursday when the deceased had come back to the office to pick
his laptop noting that at the same time he went for a shot call where
the prison warder noticed him which led to scuffle that resulted into

Mugisa added that Maj. Erasmus will be buried in fort portal though he
