VOTE FOR WILFRED KATOOBE, CHAIRMAN KARYEIJA SPEAKS OUT ON WEST ANKOLE DIOCESE HEAD OF LAITY SHIP

Mitooma district chairman Benon Karyeija who became second to winner Willis Bashaasha in the concluding term for the office of the head of laity has exclusively revealed that the Christians from Mitooma should vote for Wilfred Katoobe but not Pison Mugizi or Willis Bashaasha.

Karyeija said this today morning 23^rd Feb.2022 in a telephone interview with www.mknewslink.com managing director.

Karyeija was speaking from his home in Kanyabwanga Ruhinda north Mitooma district while the managing editor was at his home in Kabagarame Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.

Chairman Karyeija asserted that the two contestants fought him on grounds that Willis was the best candidate wondering why he is not opposing him {Willis}?, meaning there is no honesty.

He added that he never contested for head of laity for his church in Kanyabwanga because the church at Bweranyangi is not transparent including the people who are playing the church politics.

Karyeija noted that he is concentrating on two things now; education and service delivery for the people of Mitooma.

He revealed that he is mobilizing the people of Mitooma to embrace education. He has put a target to have acquired 1000 degrees from KIU western campus by 2026 through the negotiated scholarships.

Elections for head of laity according to sources will be held on 25^th Feb.2022 at Bweranyangi cathedral, West Ankole diocesan headquarters.
