WE SHALL NOT TREAT MASAKA PANGA KILLERS WITH GLOVES— BUSHENYI RDC WARNS

Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner Jane Asiimwe Muhindo has strongly warned Masaka panga wielding men (Bakijambiya) that they willnot be handled with gloves but fire.
The RDC was addressing an abrupt press conference after a security meeting following the threatening leaflets that were dumped at shop of Rev. Robert Mwesigye of Kibisya village Nyabubare parish Nyabubare sub county Bushenyi district.
She revealed that they have already deployed UPDF army in three zones of Igara west Igara East and Bushenyi- Ishaka municipality.
She called upon residents of Bushenyi to prepare their meals by 6 O’clock so that by 7 they are already in their beds to avoid being cut by the reckless Masaka killers.
She added that they have advised the LCI chairperson to mobilize 8 muscular people per village to be able to stop the panga men from cutting any one in their village.
She advised residents to ensure that their phones are charged and have little airtime in case of any need.
The RDC ordered all village chairperson to make sure strangers and visitors are demanded for their National Identity cards and registered.
The district chairman Jaffari Basajabalaba noted that curfew will be used to kill two birds; stop COVID 19 at the same time panga men.
