The witchdoctor who accused Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga of not paying for services offered about 3 decades ago has apologized.
Damian Akuze in a letter to Kadaga on Thursday described his case which was lodged at Jinja High Court as unreasonable, useless and baseless.
I do wholeheartedly apologize for my unreasonable action of filing a baseless, useless case against you, said Akuze.
The witchdoctor recognized the damage his case, which was published by many media houses, caused to the reputation of the Speaker.
“I also regret that the said case has tarnished your good and honorable reputation that you have earned for a long period of time serving this country and the world as whole in different capacities,” he noted.
Akuze claimed that Kadaga approached him in September 1990 to make her a leader but the latter became a Member of Parliament in 1989 and indeed had the money to clear the fee.
Akuzes case also stated that he propelled Kadaga to become a member of East African Legislative Assembly but the latter has never served in the regional parliament.
Kadaga assumed ministerial position in 1996 contrary to the witchdoctors claim that she joined cabinet just two days after visiting him in 1990.
The witchdoctor nonetheless noted that he was not influenced by any political adversary of Kadaga.
“I was not influenced nor funded by anyone but I did this in my own volition,” he remarked.
