WOMAN STABS 19 YEAR OLD HUSBAND TO DEATH OVER MONEY IN KISORO

Police in Kisoro are investigating circumstances under which a19 year old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his 23 year old wife.

It is alleged that Front Hategimana a resident of Musezero village Nyundo parish, Nyundo sub county Kisoro district was stabbed by his wife Evelyn Kabagyenyi with as a result of Domestic violence.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson said that on the 01/ 10/2022 at around 0030hours at Musezero village, the deceased fought with the wife who ended up stabbing him on the chest and neck with the knife over money issues and he died instantly.

Maate revealed that the deceased died at Nyeretse Afrikano’s place, in Kisoro district.

Police were informed, scene was visited and examined, exhibit of the knife was recovered and body taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem

The PRO added that the suspect was arrested and is in custody while inquiries are underway.

The case of murder by stabbing was registered at Kisoro Central Police station under reference number CRB 657/2022.
