ZION FARMING CENTRE IN BUSHENYI HOSTS RWAMPARA WOMEN LEADERS LED BY MP MOLLY ASIIMWE

Zion farming center located in the heart of Bushenyi town has today 23^rd Nov 2024 hosted Rwampara women leaders led by the member of parliament Hon Molly Asiimwe.

The purpose of the visit according to Hon Asiimwe Molly was to learn how to rear ankole chicken.

The women leaders were taken through theory and practicals of Ankole Chicken farming.

The director of Zion Farming center, Joan Butungi Mashanyu together her staff took them through brooding ankole chicken taking care of them from one day up to laying eggs as well as selling them.

Ms Joan Masanyu told her guests that she started the farm during covid-19 period when it was the only option.

The group of eight women leaders appreciated the training and their MP gave them start up chicks from the farm.

They also appreciated that ankole chicken are easy to look after with limited risks at the farm and as well with the higher yields.

Hon Molly Asiimwe urged the Rwampara women leaders to be the Ambassadors of rearing Ankole chicken in their district.
