POLICE SPEAKS OUT ON ODO, KATEMBEYI ARREST, NOW FREE MEN

The Greater Bushenyi Regional Police spokesperson Martial Tumusiime has finally come out to shade light in the arrest and detention of three top FDC officials in Sheema North By election today afternoon.
Martial told www.mknewslink.com that the three were arrested at different polling stations for three election offences; Inciting Violence, Voter Bribery and Campaigning at polling stations.
Stanley Katembeyi, the Mbarara FDC chairman was arrested at Masheruka polling station, according to Martial, Mr.Katembeyi was campaigning for Guma Nuwagaba of FDC which is against the law.
Former Bushenyi Ishaka MP Odo Tayebwa was arrested at Katooma polling station for allegedly inciting violence at the same polling station.
Kiiza Simprisio was arrested from Kabutsye Polling station while bribing voters to vote for Guma Nuwagaba. They have now been released on police bond after recording statements.
