MBARARA WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN LODGE

Police in Mbarara are investigating circumstances, under which a 52-year old man, allegedly murdered a lover.

The suspect who handed himself to police after the murder identified himself as Brian Kamusiime, a resident of Rwibare cell in Rutooma parish, Kashari constituency, Mbarara district.

The suspect last Friday, testified to have killed  one, only indentified as Scovia, a resident of Kashanyarazi in Biharwe division, Mbarara Municipality.

According to Police statement, Scovia stole 2 million shillings from Kamusiime, which could  have prompted him to commit the murder.

The deceased’s body, which was discovered from a guest house in Biharwe division Mbarara municipality, was taken to Mbarara Regional referral hospital for post mortem.

Speaking to our reporter, the Rwizi region police spokesperson, Samson Kasasira confirmed the incident, and cautioned the public against taking the law into their hands.
