RWANDAN MAN, UGANDAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED THEFT

In Kisoro
Police in Kisoro is holding two people including a Rwandan National
for allegedly burglary and theft.
The suspects are; Gerald Irankunda alias Ndereri a resident of Kamonyi
village in Kisoro Municipality and a Rwandan National identified as Jean Baptista Kanyangoga, a technician and phones repair along Mutanda road in Kisoro district.
Speaking to the Kisoro District Police Commander Patrick Okoto
said that the two are alleged to be having a big group of thugs that are
terrorizing the district breaking people’s houses, stores and shops.
Okoto added that the suspects were arrested on 3rd June 2019 morning after they were found with stolen properties that include computers, laptops, smart phones, television screens, home theater music systems and hard cash among others.
He adds that Kanyangoga was arrested for helping Irankunda to find market for the stolen items in Musanze in Rwanda. He was also accused for helping the thugs to remove pin codes from stolen computers, laptops and smart phones.
The two are currently being held at Kisoro central police station and will be aligned before court to answer charges of burglary and theft.
