KABAKA MUTEBI’S PERSONAL ATTORNEY APOLLO MAKUBUYA FIRED

Buganda kingdom monarch his majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has fired city lawyer Apollo Makubuya from position of being his personal attorney.

Kabaka Mutebi has since replaced Makubuya with Omukungu John Kitenda, a loyal subject at Mengo.

As Kabaka’s attorney, Makubuya had powers to sign legal documents including land titles on behalf of the Kabaka.

However, this comes shortly after Makubuya was fired from his position as Third Deputy Katikkiro, a position in which he was expected to work with others to deliver Federo to Buganda, although Mengo felt disappointed with his performance.

www.mknewslink.com  has learnt that although Makubuya has been axed, the Kabaka has retained Owek.Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma and young brother Prince David Kintu Wasajja as his attorneys and appointed three others to join this team of attorneys. They include Prof. Twaha Kigongo Kawaase and Owek Nelson Kawalya, the former Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko.

Sources at Mengo have told www.mknewslink.com  that the previously very busy Makubuya who was always away from Bulange, now has enough time for almost everything, including attending funeral services at Namirembe Cathedral.
