The minister for justice and constitutional affairs MaJ.Gen. Kahinda Otafire has warned people power pressure group led by the Kyadondo East Mp. Robert Kyagulnyi alias Bobi Wine over misleading Ugandans.
While speaking at the official welcoming members of Forum for Democratic change and people power who converted to the National Resistance Movement yesterday at Booma grounds, Otafire disclosed that people power is derived from the ballot box and exercised by the local council one.
Otafire noted that anyone who thinks will exercise people power without the ballot box are lying themselves and they will soon get in trouble.
He also added that LC1 Uganda cannot be led by little knowledge and Bobi Wine is still young thus has no knowledge to manage society.
Over 200 opposition supporters from districts of Ntoroko,Kabarole,Kyenjojo,Kyegegwa ,kamwenge and Bunyangabu have converted to the NRM party.
Some of them are; the acting FDC chairperson Kabarole district Kusemererwa George, the FDC Midwestern Turyahabwa Remigious, Ozo Birungi Regional coordinator FDC, Kahwa Bruhani General Secretary FDC Bunyangabu among others.
Remigiuous Turyahebwa while speaking to www.mknewslink.com explained that he defected from the FDC due to divisionism in the party.
Religious said that he joined opposition since reform agenda but has seen and benefited nothing.
He has strongly vowed to fight the wrong deeds in the NRM as one way of cleaning the party.
