BUSHENYI POLICE ARREST MAN, WOMAN WITH 10 STOLEN COWS

Police in Bushenyi are holding a man and woman for allegedly stealing cows and other animals in the district.
Andrew Twinomujuni a chapatti man in Kabwohe and Allen Mukwebaze a wife to the key suspect a resident of Rutookye town council in Mitooma district were arrested yesterday by police.
The key suspect, a husband to Allen Mukwebaze is on the run and Bushenyi police have opened a hunt for him.
According to Bushenyi District Police Commander Joe Komakechi the cattle thieves have been using sahara pick up Reg. No.UAN 197U which is now at Kizinda police post in Bushenyi district.
DPC Komakechi informs people who lost their cows to come for them with clear identification.
3 cows were yesterday identified by owner with clear documents and handed over by police.
There is rampant cattle thefty in Ankole region and police have been tracking and arresting thieves because of numerous reports by cattle owners.
