BUSHENYI DISTRICT IS IN SECURITY OFFICERS CRISIS—RDC JOLLY TIBEMANYA

The Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Jolly Tibemanya yesterday 11^th Dec 2019 revealed that Bushenyi district security is very low compared to the district population.

According to RDC Jolly Tibemanya,Bushenyi as a district has only 160 policemen and the population of the district is about 300000 people adding every policeman is entitled to 1800 people.

Tibemanya called upon people to be vigilant and security conscious which will help security agencies to do their work.

The RDC said these yesterday 11th Dec.2019 during a security meeting held at Bushenyi Ishaka municipal council hall

He added that people should always report any security personnel trying to engage in a crime noting that after all they are protected by whistle blowers Act.

Last month Bushenyi district registered the highest number of murder cases of all the year.

He told lodge and hotel owners to always register people that are to sleep in their lodges warning that whoever fails to do will be arrest.

The OC Bushenyi CPS ASP Henry Abaho said that on 24^th, Christmas and New Year’s Day, slaughtering animals will be starting at 7:00 am and anyone who will do it before that time will be taken as a thief.

He added that heads, hides and hooves of slaughtered animals will be sold at 9:00am  

Abaho added that slot machines are not accepted in Bushenyi district because it increases theft in young children.
