RUKUNGIRI: RETIRED ARMY OFFICER FOUND DEAD

Rukungiri police are investigating circumstances under which a retired army officer died.
The deceased was identified as Corporal John Patrick Mugume, 45 years a resident of Rugoma cell southern Ward Kebisoni town council Rukungiri district.
The Rukungiri District Police Commander, Moses Nanoka, said that the deceased on 12/12/2919 left home going to the clinic for medicine but never returned instead went to a bar in Omukikona trading center of one Sarah for a drink.
The wife, Akatusasira Faith, said that she saw her husband in a bar as she had gone to buy a piece of soap ,she waited for him to come back home but he never returned.
Akatusasira said that when time elapsed she reported a case of disappearance at Kebisoni police on 13/12/2019, police started to trace for him and on 17/12/2019 his body was found lying in Nyakahanga swamp.
By press time, the body was still at Rwakabengo health center III mortuary pending postmortem.
