MINISTER KAROORO BLASTS POLITICAL ASPIRANTS FOR DIVIDING PEOPLE

Minister for general duties in the office of the prime minister Hon. Mary Karooro Okurut has blasted political aspirants who have started dividing people basing on religious lines, politics of hate and discrimination with intention to grow their political capital.
Hon Karoro said that politics shouldn’t be a do or die thus asked politicians to exhibit tolerance other than spreading hatred which might escalate to bloodshed among the voters.
Minister Karoro was speaking to the locals of Kabushaho village in Bumbaire Sub County after touring the progress of 2.5 billion Kabushaho seed school whose place of construction was highly controversial between the Catholics and Protestants.
According to Hon Karoro Okurut these normally pretend to be speaking to Museveni on phone whenever they are meeting their electorates when in actual sense they are speaking to a totally different person.
As the political pressure gears up, some political aspirants have since embarked on underground ways of soliciting for support from voters to allow them sail through in the coming polls.
In Bushenyi district, these aspirants have started using politics of hate, discrimination basing in religions with intentions to grow their political base.
Recently, the Bishop for West Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni accused political leaders in greater Bushenyi of trying to divide the area basing on religion.
Bishop Twinomujuni said that Politicians dividing the population ahead of the 2021 general elections for their selfish interest doesn’t make sense.
