Police in Rukungiri are holding a 28 year old man for assaulting his father to death.
The suspect Simon Ainebyoona who is currently admitted at Rwamahwa health centre has been mentally unstable for sometime and disorganising the family all the time.
Ainebyoona a resident of Nyandiri cell Bwanga parish Nyarushanje Sub County Rukungiri on 6/5/2020 at night allegedly ran after his father Richard Twongyeirwe and assaulted him badly.
According to Elly Mate the Kigezi region police mouth piece, Twongyirwe was rushed to Kisizi hospital but died instantly on the way.
Police visited the scene of crime and arrested the suspect but had to take him to Rwamahwa health centre as he was also assaulted by residents.
