INTERDICTED BUSHENYI ISHAKA MUNICIPAL TREASURER ARRESTED FOR STEALING UGX 91 M FROM ACCOUNT

Police in Bushenyi are holding the interdicted Bushenyi Ishaka municipal treasurer Muhwezi Jackson Beyendeza for allegedly embezzling 91 million shillings from municipal account.
Muhwezi Jackson Beyendeza was recently interdicted with other two on the orders of the Local Government Minister Rapheal Magyezi over the misuse of municipal money.
According to the Greater Bushenyi regional police spokes person SP Martial Tumusiime, Jackson withdrawn 91 Million from the municipal account without the consent of the authorities .
SP Tumusiime added that they have arrested Muhwezi so that he can explain the whereabouts of the government money he withdrew in his names.
He noted that if they do not recover that money, Muhwezi will be taken to courts of laws to answer to relevant charges.
