HOIMA HOSPITAL ADMITS MORE 9 CORONA VIRUS PATIENTS FROM ADJUMANI

Hoima regional referral hospital in Hoima district has admitted 9 more Corona Virus patients from Adjuman district bringing a total of admitted patients at the facility to 10 in a space of two weeks.
Samuel Kisembo Araali, the Hoima Resident District Commissioner also the head of COVID-19 task force has said that they received 7 COVID-19 patients from Adjumani district on Tuesday night while two more patients were received yesterday from Kiryandongo district.
Among the 7 patients from Adjumani, three are Ugandan truck drivers while four are refugees.
Kisembo said that the Health Ministry decided to transfer some COVID-19 Patients to Hoima Hospital due to the limited space in Adjumani, where they had initially been admitted.
He added that the facility has a capacity to handle more than 30 cases with the man power of 40 health workers.
Kisembo said that all health workers managing cases will be camped at the facility but they will be replaced by others after every 14 days.
Meanwhile, four Congolese are under quarantine at Hoima nursing school institutional quarantine.
These were picked by the surveillance team from Kijangi landing site after residents made an alarm.
