In Mbarara—
Major Charles Kabona the second division army spokesperson has warned army and police officers to desist from taking bribes.
Maj. Kabona sounded these remarks on Tuesday while at his office in Booma, Mbarara city.
This came into the lime light after several Boda Boda riders in Mbarara city complaining about the continued habit of police and army officers soliciting bribes from them while enforcing COVID 19 presidential guidelines.
Maj. Kabona noted that several Boda Boda riders say that they are always forced to pay a bribe of 150,000, 50,000 and 20,000 by the said officers after being caught disobeying the COVID 19 pandemic guidelines.
He warned the corrupt army and police officers to stop the habit or else face the rough hand of the law
