UNOPPOSED COUNCILOR MURDERED IN BUSHENYI

Police in Bushenyi have arrested one in connection to the murder of Kyabaishiki Dorcus councilor for people with disabilities at Bitooma LCIII council.

The late Kyabaishiki had completed her term as the councilor for PWDs at Bitooma subcounty and she was unopposed as she sought another term of office.

According to sources from Bitooma subcounty, Kyabaishiki could have been killed because of her support to one of the candidates seeking for district councillorship to represent Bitooma subcounty to Bushenyi district council.

A Police source says that one person has handed him self to police as the prime suspect in the murder of Kyabaishiki but could not mention the names of the suspect.

In the same subcounty, police have today discovered another body of a man who was killed three days ago.

When contacted by www.mknewslink.com about the continuous killings in Bitooma, the Resident District Commissioner who is the head of security in Bushenyi district said he needed more time to get information from police and other stakeholders.
