Bushenyi district NRM registrar Alkangiro Barekye has revealed that he never refused to give tally sheets, declaration forms from villages and all the information pertaining the Sept 4, 2020 NRM parliamentary elections.
However, candidate marvin Baryaruha’s political assistant Mr. Stelison Nahwera told www.mknewslink.com managing editor today morning that Mr. Barekye refused to give him the above materials as asked by their lawyer.
Mr. Stelison added that Registrar Barekye has been uncooperative throughout the exercise.
He said that there was cheating in the parliamentary NRM elections in polling stations of Ishaka division and central division.
He noted, that is why he demanded for all declarations from villages to expose the theft that Mr. Barekye presided over but refused to give them to him.
In an interview on phone with www.mknewslink.com, Mr. Barekye denied refusing to give the information to candidate Marvin Baryaruha’s political assistant.
“I gave Mr. Stelison the political assistant of Baryaruha all documents including soft copies and hard copies” Mr. Barekye said on phone today morning.
In the Sept 4, 2020 NRM parliamentary elections, four candidates rejected results and called for fresh elections.
These candidates are; Marvin Baryaruha, Arinda Gordon Cowboy, Anald Spencer Tir womwe and Chris Muganzi
The winner candidates rejected but was declared by Bushenyi district Registrar is Derrick Kabuura Baimukye. He is a flag bearer until otherwise.
