Minister Kamuntu’s first son Abert Kamuntu has urged the youth to stop neglecting agriculture for white collar jobs forgetting that it is not by mistake that it is referred to as the backbone of Uganda.
He said these during a visit by some youths from Rugarama subcounty at his project farm in Rweigaga, Kashozi division Sheema municipality.
He noted that the youth have undermined jobs especially agricultural related which he said has left them in abject poverty.
Abert Kamuntu grows a variety of crops such as apples, straw berries, grapes, mangoes, tea, and many more.
He awoke the youths that they should know that they are leaving in a changed world which needs curiosity adding that even if one is educated, farming is the best alternative.
He added that though he is an aeroplane engineer, a son to minister, he is still getting money from farming because that’s where he earns a lot even more than his profession.
