BULLETS, TEAR GAS IN MBARARA AS STREET KIDS PROTEST AGAINST RELEASE OF FELLOW’S KILLER

Police in Mbarara yesterday fired teargas and live bullets to disperse rowdy street kids who were demonstrating accusing police of releasing a suspect alleged to have killed their fellow street kid.
The street kids staged demonstrations areas of Kisenyi, Kakoba division, Mbarara city south, Mbarara city.
The street kids say that on the 31st, of last month, Herbert Mubiru a resident of Kisenyi in Mbarara city allegedly killed a one Hussein Kiiza.
The aggrieved kids claim that after taking Mubiru to police he was released the following day.
Now, the street kids say they want justice adding that they have been dying silently.
However, police declined to comment on the matter .
