TWO IBANDA GOAT THIEVES SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS AT NYABUHIKYE PRISON

The Ibanda magistrate’s court presided over by his worship Richard Nuwagira yesterday sentenced two goat thieves to a two year imprisonment at Nyabuhikye Government prison.

Kosia Sabiti 40, a resident of Rwahura Kashangura in Kagongo division, Ibanda municipality admitted having stolen Agnes Katusiime’s goat in Nov.2020 which he later sold to Hannington Byarugaba 

Sabiti was arrested by police after being caught red handed with the goat valued at shs.180.000 hidden in the bush before it was returned to the owner, according to the prosecution.

Grade two magistrate Richard Nuwagira sent him to Nyabuhikye government prison to serve two years behind coolers. 

Meanwhile,the same court sent Bwambale Masereka 19,of Kilembe cell in Kasese to a similar jail for stealing a goat belonging to Sylvia Ninsima on Dec.17.2020 

Both convicts pleaded guilty to the offense.

While separately sentencing the duo, his worship Nuwagira said this was a different sentence to teach others against the same offense.
