The bishop of Ankole diocese Dr. Sheldon Mwesigwa has revealed that the sex scandal that surrounds the immediate retired archbishop of the church of Uganda will not shake the church in any way.
“The word of God will continue to be preached, Christians will get saved. The sex scandal of emeritus archbishop Ntagali will not at all shake or weaken the church of Uganda,” Bishop Sheldon asserted.
Bishop Sheldon said this while at Nyakayojo church of uganda during the commissioning of the house of the reverend.
Bishop Sheldon who was not open and spoke in tongues about the scandal had just returned from Kampala to attend the house of bishops’ meeting where Bishops passed out a resolution on how to approach Ntagali’s sex scandal.
The Bishop of West Ankole Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni last week told www.mknewslink.com that he would comment after the house of Bishops’ meeting thus we shall visit him this coming week for a comment on issue.
Mid this month, the archbishop of the church of Uganda Stephen Kazimba suspended his predecessor Stanley Ntagali from conducting any sacrament like wedding, baptism, confirmation due to an adulterous act with a reverend’s Wife.
The decision by Kazimba made headlines on all the media in Uganda whether online, newspapers, social media, TVs and radios and its still a shock in the church of Uganda.
