Western Uganda FDC Youth delegates have been denied access to Ntare school polling station by security operatives.
2,049 delegates from 38 districts of western Uganda had today converged at Ntare School in Mbarara to vote for their candidates from different parties.
However, according to Mbarara DPC SP John Rutagira, FDC delegates who had come to vote for their candidate Adios were closed out side because they had no documents to identify them.
Rutagira also accused the candidate of campaigning on the polling day since earlier in the morning he had processions in town which is against the law.
Adios has accused the security of conniving with some candidate to destabilize the Electoral process.
“It’s somehow intended to bar my delegates from entering the polling station and am already to file a case in court protesting these irregularities,” Adios added.
Meanwhile the voting process which had earlier delayed started at 11:00am.
However, most of the candidates including NRM’s Rugumayo Edson and Anold Turwomwe had not arrived at the Polling station to vote by the time of this publication.
FDC’s Adios Beinomugisha also refused to enter into the polling station after his party delegates were denied access to the station by security operatives.
