MBARARA MAN HANDS SELF TO POLICE AFTER KILLING EX- WIFE IN COLD BLOOD

Police in Mbarara district have started investigating circumstances under which a woman was killed in cold blood by her Ex-husband.

It’s alleged that on 30^th June.2021 while in Kifufu Village ,Bubaare subcounty , Mbarara district at 1500/c Judith Arinaitwe 35 years was cut by her ex-husband Edson Mwebaze a resident of Kyantamba Village Bubaare sub county Mbarara district.

According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police mouthpiece, the deceased later succumbed to over bleeding due to  multiple cuts she sustained on her head and arms.

Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that the suspect Edson Mwebaze handed himself to Bubaare police post last night after a failed suicide attempt by taking an acaracide drug.

The suspect Edson Mwebaze confessed to killing the deceased whom he said left him for another man after stealing his money, Waragi, Millet and other merchandise worth 350,000.

He is currently in police custody at Mbarara central police station while the body of the deceased was handed over to relatives for a decent burial after a postmortem at Mbarara regional referral hospital

The deceased and the suspect had separated with in February after developing a misunderstandings which resulted from Domestic violence.
