TRADERS COUNT LOSSES AS FIRE GUTS MASINDI CENTRAL MARKET

Market vendors and shop owners in Masindi town are counting losses after fire gutted the market and number of shops.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity, the fire broke out at around 21:30hours on Wednesday when he was heading home.
He suspected the fire spread from the tyres which were being burnt near the market.
The eyewitness also told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the fire started opposite Post Bank.
“After seeing fire, I immediately alerted police which intervened and set it off before spreading further,” He added.
ASP Edna Nyiraneza the acting District Police Commander – DPC Masindi confirmed the incident, and said police are investigating on the cause of fire break.
