The former Member of Parliament for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality Odo Tayebwa has revealed that he has filed notice of appeal challenging the judgment by Mbarara high court judge Moses Kazibwe.
On Thursday, Justice Kazibwe dismissed an election petition in which Odo Tayebwa protested against the victory of his opponent and incumbent Derrick Kabuura Baimukye.
In an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing director today afternoon, Odo said that he doesn’t agree with the judgment of Moses Kazibwe because he suspects that money exchanged hand.
Odo narrated that he wrote a protest letter to the judge and openly told him how he had eaten some money from his opponent.
This is not the first time Odo is appealing in the court of appeal; in 2012, he lost a petition against Nasser Bassajabalaba in Mbarara high court led by Justice Zehurikize.
He later appealed in court of appeal the last appellant for election petitions, he won the case and Nasser’s victory was nullified with a fresh election in which Odo emerged a winner.
He noted that he will take his protest letter to Principal judge Dr. Zeija Flavian, Chief Justice Owiny Odollo complaining against Kazibwe’s misconduct.
