BUSHENYI: 6 NETTED OVER FAKE DRUG LABELS, OPERATING CERTIFICATES

Police in Bushenyi are holding 6 people on charges of issuing out fake drug labels and operating certificates.
SP Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the suspects Jude Agaba, the owner St. Jude drug shop, Steven Bamwine, Cleophus Kyobutungi, Urban Agaaba, Asiimwe Mwesigye plus Deo Mubangizi all employees and residents of Ishaka-Bushenyi municipality.
SP Tumusiime told www.mknewslink.com that the suspects were netted following a joint operation conducted by the National Drugs Authority (NDA) and Bushenyi Uganda Police Forces.
He said that the suspects who are employees of St. Jude computer solutions were found in possession of fake drug labels and fake operating certificates.
Dr. Ijami Muhindo the Head of Veterinary at NDA noted that NDA is still conducting such operations to counter fake human and veterinary drugs on the market.
Other exhibits are forged documents including Uganda certificate of education, P.L.E certificates, and transcripts of several universities.
Police arrested and took them to Bushenyi police station for further investigations as the criminals are kept in the custody.
