CATTLE TRADER KILLED IN IBANDA, SUSPECT’S GRANDPARENTS BURNT BY MOB

Police in Ibanda district are investigating circumstances under which three people were killed following a Cattle purchase incident.
According to ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi police mouthpiece the deceased are; James Natukunda a 19 year old cattle trader and resident of Buhunga village ,Mushasha Parish , Buhunga Subcounty in Buhweju district,Rubiriga Jerethom 95 years ,Bizire violet 87 years.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that on 02nd. January, 2022 at about 1600hrs while at Rwakyera village, Sentama parish ,Bwahwa-Nyabuhikye sub county ,Ibanda District, Natukunda was approached by Yoweri Kasasira, and Gordon Ahimbisibwe a priest that the duo wanted to sell him a cow
It’s alleged that Natukunda James picked his 6 million UGX and together with his friend Katsigazi plus the suspect Kasasira went to the farm where they found the cows.
Kasasira said that the Suspect sent Katsigazi to his parents to call his mother in pretense that she had instructed him but by the time Katsigazi came back he could not trace both the Suspect and the deceased.
The PRO intimated to www.mknewslink.com reporter that while on the search a young boy called Sam Mushabe 09 years approached Katsigazi and narrated to him how he saw Yoweri pulling a dead body before covering it with tree branches.
Katigazi went with Mushabe who showed him where he saw the suspect with the body only to find Natukundain a pool of blood.
Kasasira noted that a mob invaded the home of the suspect’s Father and set the house blaze killing the suspect’s grandparents Rubiriga Jerethom and Violet Bezire 87 as well as killing goats and destroying banana plantation.
