4 NTOROKO H/C STAFF INTERDICTED FOR SLAUGHTERING RESIDENTS’ ANIMALS

Four staff at Rwebisengo Health Center IV in Ntoroko district have been interdicted for slaughtering residents’ goats that stray into their quarters.
The four are; James Kato, Thomas Kasangazi both nurses, Joseph Busingye an Askari and Robert Musubulya a porter.
The staff were interdicted from work following the reports from the police and complaints from community members in Rwebisengo Town council.
According to a letter dated 7th Feb 2022 that was issued by the Chief Administrative Officer Ivan Busobozi, the four will not be allowed at work with effect from 7th February,2022 and will get half of their basic salary while on interdiction
“In regards to theft of goats case Ref. No. SD/1218/01/2022 indicating they found goat’s meat and skin in your room. Arising from the above preliminary findings, you are hereby in accordance with the Public Service Standing orders chapter F-S interdicted from powers and functions of your office with immediate effect,” reads part of the letter.
The letter further states that the four will not be allowed to leave Uganda without permission from the CAO’s office during their interdiction.
