ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED, 3 ON THE RUN FOR SETTING COLLEAGUE ABLAZE

Police in Bushenyi have arrested a man as they hunt for his three colleagues after they allegedly set their friend ablaze.
SP Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson has identified the suspects as Sanjaga a resident of Ntungamo district, Kanoba and Moses both Residents of Kibare village, Rutokye Mitooma district and Munyimali Fabrisi a Rwandan by tribe and nationality.
According to the Police PRO, the suspects and the deceased David Arinaitwe have been employees of Byamanyoha Godfrey who were cutting fire wood in his eucalyptus Forest, at Kiyagara ll village,Kahungye parish, Nyabubare Subcounty Bushenyi district.
Tumisiime Explains that on 26/08/22 at around 01:00AM the suspects and the deceased had a disagreement as they returned from a bar at Kiyagara trading centre.
The suspects reportedly tied the hands and legs of the deceased and carried him to the forest where they were staying, put eucalyptus branches on him and set him a blaze.
Tumusiime told this reporter that they visited the scene and recorded statements from witnesses.
He added that One suspect called Mwinyi Mali was arrested and Exhibit of the suspects head dress recovered.
The body was taken to KIU hospital for postmortem while efforts to arrest other suspects still are ongoing.
