MAKERERE FRESH GRADUATE IN RWAMPARA COMMITS SUICIDE IN CHURCH

Police in Rwampara district has commenced investigations surrounding the suspected suicide case of a 24 year fresh Makerere Graduate.
Mentally ill Flavia Nagasha was found hanging on a rope inside a church on Thursday by people who had gone for prayers.
According to SP Steven Kamar the District Police Commander Rwampara, said that on Thursday 30th March 2023 at around 4pm a suspected suicide case was reported at Rwampara police station.
The case was reported by a one Edward Nkuba 52-year-old also the chairperson of Rugarama Village in Lugando sub county that someone had hanged herself inside a church in the same area.
SP Kamar said that on receiving the information, police detectives from Rwampara police station rushed to the scene of crime and found out that the deceased was Flavia Nagasha a 24-year-old.
The deceased was a daughter to Priscilla Karakunde a resident of Butebo cell Nyabikungu parish in Lugando Sub county, Rwampara district who recently completed her bachelors of business administration at Makerere university.
Police learnt that the deceased was staying with her mother and it’s alleged that she developed some mental impairment after her father passed on in a paradoxical way few weeks ago.
Kamar noted that Priscilla Karakunde the mother of deceased has been taking her to church for prayers where she hanged herself from.
The deceased was assisted by drum which she stepped on to hang herself.
SP Kamar noted that the scene was visited by a team of homicides from Rwampara Police Station, and a medical doctor did postmortem report before handing over the deceased’s body to the family for the burial.
