HON. KAROORO, GREATER BUSHENYI RESIDENTS HAIL MAJ GEN OTAFIIRE, HASSAN BASSAJJA FOR SUPPORTING THE AIR LIFTING OF REV. CANON KANKIRIHO TO KAMPALA

The senior presidential advisor on media and public affairs Hon. Mary Karooro and the people of greater Bushenyi have hailed Maj Gen Otafiire and Hassan Bassajjabalaba for facilitating the idea of air lifting Rev. Canon Kankiriho to Nsambya hospital for treatment.
‘’I would like to thank so much Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire the Minister of internal affairs and Hassan Bassajjabalaba for facilitating my idea of air lifting Rev. Canon Robert Kankiriho to Nsambya hospital for treatment today morning’’ said Hon. Mary Karooro Okurut.
‘’when I called Hon. Otafiire and told him that our sick Rev. Kankiriho need to be airlifted to Kampala for further treatment, he immediately bought the idea and he gave me the police helicopter fueled it, paid the pilot allowance and the exercise was executed immediately today morning’’ Hon. Karooro revealed.
She also hailed Tycoon Hassan Bassajjabalaba for building an important hospital infrastructure at KIU Ishaka that managed the condition of Rev. Kankiriho for almost a week.
She added that Bassajjabalaba provided doctors and nurses who travelled with Rev. Kankiriho in the helicopter until they landed in Kampala and they later drove to Nsambya hospital with the sick Rev.
She revealed that the doctors at Nsambya hospital are currently doing tests and scan to identify the problem and then go ahead and treat.
Rev. Canon Robert Kankiriho got involved in car accident on 6th May 2023 along Ishaka Kagamba road. The accident claimed the life of his wife on the very day and Rev. Kankiriho survived.
His wife Anna Kankiriho was buried on Monday this week at their home in Itendero Sheema district.
Rev. Kankiriho never attended the burial of his wife because he was still hospitalized.
Rev. Canon Kankiriho is a parish priest of Kaburengye COU in Ishaka and a teacher at Nyabubare secondary school Bsuhenyi district.
