BVI GRADUATES 250 STUDENTS, UBTEB HAILS MANAGEMENT AND STUDENTS

Executive secretary Uganda Business and Technical education, Onesmus Oyesigye tasked graduands to be job creators than Job seekers which will create career pathways for them and be resourceful citizens of this country.
Oyesigye said this as he presided over the 3rd graduation ceremony of Bushenyi Vocational Dan Memorial Institute where 250 students were awarded national diplomas and certificates in different fields of technical skilling a function held, at Bushenyi Municipal grounds.
He hailed academic success compounded with one’s trust in God, leads to success urging graduands to think logically and rationally in formulating productive inputs and skills they have attained to earn a living.
Bushenyi district woman member of Parliament Annet Katusiime Mugisha tasked parents to encourage their children to join Vocational education where she narrated that a pupil with vocational and technical knowledge can employ him/herself rather than spending years on the streets in search for white collar jobs the fact that the country is less industrialized.
But with skills attained from vocational institutions challenges of unemployment from fresh graduates can be addressed.
In her remarks, principal Modrine Nuwajuna thanked parents of the graduands for investing in vocational, tertiary and technical education mostly to the girl child of which she said as the institute the biggest number of students are girls pursing careers from different courses
She said as the institution they have challenges of over taxation from government, Enough infrastructures to accommodate, students and staffs as well as lack of tools to use for the newly enrolled vocational curriculum which she said have delayed the progress of the institution.
