A young prosperous businessman Casbert Kasiano was today May 21, 2025 nominated to challenge the super tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba for NRM chairman of Bushenyi district.
He was nominated by Bushenyi district NRM officials in Bushenyi town. In an interview with www.mknewslink.com MD, Mr Casbert vowed not to step down for the tycoon but rather defeat him in the Friday may 23, 2025 tough contest.
He also pledged to run a peaceful campaign that will not tear apart NRM party in the district and the region.
He also promised to network for the business community of Bushenyi to top businessmen and women in Uganda and abroad.
After nomination, he mounted a huge procession in Bushenyi and Ishaka towns which attracted many motorcle boda bodas and vehicles.
