Bweranyangi Junior School has today 12th Sept. 2026 received a building worth over 800m from contractors of MKET technical services.
The school led by management committee chairperson who doubles as headmistress of Bweranyangi girls SSS Ms. Molly Nshekanabo received the building and will hand it over soonest to the parents in an AGM.
According to the headmaster of the school Mr. Isaac Katondore, the construction had challenges but they were overcome and the building has been completed in less than two years.
The head teacher added that it’s the best building in the school and they will not stop constructing more big ones and beautiful buildings in the school.
The PTA vice chairperson Ms. Rose Nalongo noted that they ensured that the building is completed properly without any injuries on pupils as well as pockets of the school.
She added that they monitored seriously together with the management committee and ensured that the building is completed safely.
The school management chairperson Molly Nshekanabo told the chief guest that it wasn’t an easy load to complete this building, the school having taken a loan and then secured another one.
She noted that at one time, a whistleblower told the RDC Bushenyi that Bweranyangi Junior was not fit to handle boarding because pupils were overcrowded in dormitories. She said that this was overcome by holding meetings and some of the information given to the RDC was wrong.
The Chief Guest who represented the diocesan secretary of west Ankole diocese Ven. Rev. Can. Mwesigwa the archdeacon of Kyabugimbi hailed the school committees as well as the head teacher for the good work well done.
He revealed that he is going to take a report to the diocesan secretary Rev. Can. Mweyungye about what he witnessed at the school and promised to get support from the mother diocese; West Ankole diocese.
