TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR GANG RAPING KIRUHURA WOMAN

Police in Kazo town council in Kiruhura district have arrested two people suspected to have gang raped a 35 year old woman. Nine others escaped and but police are hunting them.
Police and LC officials in Kazo town council said several residents had complained especially the women and Bar attendants have before fallen victims as they returned from the markets and duty at night. They would be beaten, raped and their items like hand bags, phones taken
Police said on the fateful night, eleven people over powered a 35 year old woman who was returning from a Bar and took her in an old building where they raped her leaving her in great pain. The woman hails from Bugarihe village in Rwemikoma sub county in Kazo county, Kiruhura district.
The woman who was gang raped, could not be named by police for security reasons. She was however rescued by the people who were passing near the scene and were attracted by the noise raised by the woman. She was rushed to Kazo health center 1V, but was later referred to Ibanda hospital for further treatment.
The Officer in charge station, Kazo police station, Mr. Arinaitwe said the operation exercise would continue until all thugs to terrorizing unsuspecting victims and the police will protect all the people together with their property during Christmas and New year festival seasons.
