FORGIVE KAHIIGI COURT COSTS, YOUR LAWYER ALREADY PAID—NRM MP THOMAS TAYEBWA TELLS JAFFAR BASSAJJABALABA

The Mitooma north Member of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has challenged Mr. Jaffar Bassajjaba chairperson LC5 Bushenyi district that he should not charge court case costs on his former opponent Mr. Paul Kahiigi because he defeated him in court and what he wanted was LC5 and he has it.
He said this during a giveaway function of Julius Mutabazi at college view guest house Nyakabirizi in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality.
Basassjjabalaba rewarded his lawyer Mr. Alex Kibandama with ug shs 100,000 for helping him win the Kahiigi case.
Tayebwa added that, rewarding the lawyer was an act of showing satisfaction with the court ruling and winning the case was enough noting that there is no need to yearn for court case costs. He thus pleaded with Bassajjabalaba to leave Kahiigi alone.
Kahiigi lost a court case in which he was accusing Bassajjabalaba of election malpractice in the 2016 general election on a post LC5 chairperson for Bushenyi district which was won by the later.
After winning the case, Bassajjabalaba tasked the court to order Kahiigi to pay for the costs and damages which amounted to about ug shs 120 million incurred in the case.
