FRENCH TOURIST DIES IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Another European tourist died in the south western district of Kanungu following the death of Mukesh Shukla 60 of British origin who met his fate in Kabale in a period of just one week.
Tutin Jean Piere 63, a French tourist and a worker at the French embassy in Nairobi collapsed and died during a gorilla trekking trip in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kanungu district on Saturday 14th April 2018.
Jean Piere, and his colleagues were tracking the Habinyanja mountain gorillas in the northern sector of Bwindi National Park.
According to his three colleagues, Jean collapsed and died as they reached the Kitahurira Uganda Wildlife Authority outpost inside the national park.
Pontius Ezuma, the Bwindi and Mgahinga national parks conservation area manager, said that the incident happened at around 11:50am.
Police told www.mknewslink.com that the deceased’s body was taken to Mulago national referral Hospital in Kampala for a postmortem.
